What is the Loop? The Hollbium Loop is a smart vertical farm that optimizes plant growth. Our Loops don’t use soil - instead, they provide all that plants really need: nutrient water & optimal lighting. We regularly rotate the composition of plants, but you will always find salads, herbs (e.g. basil, thyme, and rosemary), and flowers in the Loop.
-
How big is the Loop?It is 61 cm wide and 162 cm tall.
-
What plants can we grow in the Loop?We offer edible and non-edible plants. Based on your needs and preferences, you can choose different plant packages. From salads to herbs to flowers, everything is possible. We have a starter greens package, but we encourage you to explore different greens. Don't worry, you don't need to be a plant expert, let us know what you have in mind and we will help you.
-
Do I have to buy the Loop? No, we rent out our Loops. We designed our Loops with circular economy principles in mind and our Loops can last for years. We want to promote the reduction of waste and optimal usage of resources. Our Loops are made in Malmö, Sweden.
-
What are the terms of renting a Loop?We are offering our Loops on a subscription basis for offices, communities, restaurants & bars. Our subscription time is 12 months and includes weekly service from our team. We take care of the Loop & the plants - you don't have to do anything apart from enjoying the fresh greens.
-
Do you provide the plants?Yes, we work together with local plant providers and make sure that you always get the freshest seedlings.
-
How do we install the Loop? Our service team installs the Loop for you. Beforehand you have to pick a wall that is over 60 cm wide and 160 cm tall - there needs to be wifi and an electric socket close by. We will drill four holes in the wall to install the Loop(s) stably, three on the top and one at the bottom.
-
Where are the best spots to install the Loops? We will help you pick some good spots the first time we visit your office. The Loops look best at the canteen, kitchen areas, or the central office entrance.
-
We cannot provide WiFi access due to security reasons. Can we have Loops in our office?Don’t worry! If this is the case at your offices, let us know. We can come up with an alternative solution.
-
There is no electricity nearby the wall. Is this an issue? Our Loops need electricity to work correctly. Please get in touch with your facility manager to relocate your electrical cables/outlets if there are no sockets or electric cables nearby.
-
What does your service include?Full service is included in every Loop subscription. Our service team comes by once a week and takes care of the water, nutrients & plants.
-
Do we need to water the plants? No. The Hollbium team visits every client weekly to ensure healthy and happy plants. But you can always keep an eye on the plants and let us know if there are any issues.
-
What plants should we have in our Loops? The most popular package among our clients is the standard plant package, a mix of salads and herbs. However, we also have non-edibles and flower packages in our offer. We encourage you to try various greens and find out which ones you like the best. Feel free to let us know what you have in mind, and we will arrange new plants accordingly.
-
How much food can I produce with one Hollbium Loop?Generally, quantity varies on the kind of plants growing in the loop and on their growth state, and the amount you harvest. Option 1= 4 kg of lettuce in 30 days Option 2= Infinite basil, mint, and parsley after 20 days of growth * * Harvesting 10% per day
-
Our office will be closed for a few days, what should we do now? Please drop us a message and let us know about the period. For less than 7 days, we can reschedule the service day. For a longer period than 7 days, since the plants need nutrients to grow, we can come up with an alternative solution.
-
Can we have different plants in our Loops?Yes! In fact, we encourage you to try out new greens. Feel free to let us know what you have in mind, and we will arrange the new plants accordingly. If you are unsure what to choose, our service team will happily help you find the right match. It takes at least 4 weeks to prepare the plants (some plants grow even slower). The earlier you let us know, the better!
